Halloween
is known for giving nice girls everywhere the courage to go out in
lace-up leather bustiers and cat ears—but even if you're anti sexy
costume, you can appreciate the similar way the holiday makes us
temporarily fearless when it comes to makeup. For instance, it's the one day on which even the shiest makeup-wearer can try a dramatic smoky eye like Michelle Trachtenberg's without a second thought about looking too done-up or silly.
I'm declaring Michelle's brown, bronze, and gold smoky eye, which she wore to last night's Killing Kennedy premiere, the official smoky eye of Halloween 2013. It's less predictable than black kohl but just as smoldering and mysterious, whether you're wearing a costume or just trying to look a little out of the ordinary for a Halloween party (and catch the eye of a certain someone in a whole new way).
UPDATE: Michelle just Tweeted to us that she created this smoky eye herself! See, I told you you should try it.
Who knows, you might even wear this after Halloween is over! (Or a toned-down version, maybe?)
Any of you ladies have a smoky eye up your sleeve this Halloween week? What will yours look like?
